February - Band Rehearsals

The band has now finished the university module we initially formed for and are free to rehearse. However trying to get 6 people with jobs and their own personal commitments to regularly rehearse has proven difficult but we have done well rehearsing in small groups. After these rehearsal I made some changes. Many more sax solos have been included and less complicated structures have proven to work far better. 

Hearing these songs finally outside of my own head has been great and has provided me with loads of new ideas for the songs. I have had to learn to not attach myself to melodies/chords I have written and be prepared to disregard it if it doesn't work. For example the entire melody for movement 4 doesn't work, it needs to be replaced with some form of spoken word.
